Non-profit organization PAPS(hereinafter referred to as “PAPS”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “this Services”).
Article 1 (Personal Information)

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which PAPS collects and uses personal information are as follows:
- For the provision and operation of Organization services
- To respond to inquiries from users (including verifying identity)
- To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, etc., of this services in use by users, as well as information on other services provided by PAPS
- For maintenance, important notices, and other necessary communications
- To identify users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use this service for fraudulent or improper purposes and to refuse their use
- To allow users to view, modify, delete, and check the usage status of their registered information
- For billing users for paid services
- Other purposes associated with the above purposes
Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
PAPS shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably deemed to be relevant to the purpose before the change. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, it shall be publicly announced on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
PAPS shall not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the user, except in the following cases:
- When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and obtaining consent from the individual is difficult
- When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound growth of children and obtaining consent from the individual is difficult
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or their delegate in executing affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining consent from the individual may impede the execution of such affairs
- When the following matters are notified or announced in advance and PAPS has notified the Personal Information Protection Commission:
- Inclusion of provision to third parties in the purpose of use
- Items of data provided to third parties
- Means or methods of providing to third parties
- Suspension of provision of personal information to third parties upon request of the individual
- Methods for accepting requests from individuals
- When PAPS entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- When personal information is provided due to merger or other reasons for business succession
- When personal information is jointly used with specific individuals, the fact that it is jointly used, the items of personal information jointly used, the range of joint users, the purpose of use by the joint users, and the name or title of the person responsible for the management of the personal information, are notified in advance to the individual, or the individual is easily made aware of the situation.
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When PAPS is requested by the individual to disclose personal information, it shall promptly disclose it to the individual. However, if disclosing it falls under any of the following cases, it may not disclose all or part of it, and if a decision is made not to disclose it, it shall promptly notify the individual. A fee of 1,000 yen per item will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
- When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party
- When there is a risk of significantly impeding the proper execution of PAPS’s business
- When it would violate other laws
- Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, PAPS shall not disclose information other than personal information, such as browsing history and characteristic information, in principle.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If a user’s personal information held by PAPS is found to be incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) through the procedures prescribed by PAPS.
If PAPS determines that it is necessary to respond to a user’s request for correction, etc., it shall promptly carry out the correction, etc., of the personal information.
If PAPS has made corrections, etc., based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or if it has made a decision not to make corrections, etc., it shall promptly notify the user of this.
Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if it is difficult to implement measures such as suspension of use due to the excessive cost of such measures or if it is difficult to suspend use, etc., due to other reasons and if it is necessary to take alternative measures to protect the rights and interests of the user, the Organization shall take such alternative measures.
Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The contents of this policy may be changed without notice to users, except for matters otherwise specified in laws and regulations or in this policy.
Unless otherwise specified by PAPS, the revised privacy policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
